Thirty charities across Scotland are to benefit from just over £500,000 of funding from Corra Foundation. The money will all be used to fund work targeted at improving life for people living in Scotland who are disadvantaged.

Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “These awards range from £2,460 to pay for social events for older people to £150,000 for intensive work with families affected by substance misuse. Many of the charities we support are very small, local charities and fundraising for their running costs and paying their staff can be very difficult.

Twenty two of the awards will be used to help pay for staff to run projects, and having funding in place to cover these basic costs is vital if they are to be able to deliver their services.”
