Corra Foundation is delighted to welcome two new Trustees: Elaine McKean and Judith Turbyne.
Corra Foundation Chair, Trevor Civval said:

They will bring invaluable skills and experience to help Corra Foundation deliver its ambitious strategy, focused on supporting its vision of a society in which people create positive change and enjoy fulfilling lives.”
Elaine McKean, Managing Director of communications company Indigo described what motivated her to become a Trustee:
“Having seen communities work together and prosper in the past, I have always been fascinated by community spirit, often in the face of great adversity.
With the right mind-set, resources and dedication, communities are much more empowered today. Corra Foundation’s variety of programmes target many of the people within communities that are often not reached and I’m delighted to be appointed trustee so I can help support and influence positive opportunities for change for our communities of the future.”
Judith Turbyne, Head of Engagement at OSCR reflected on Corra Foundation’s focus on partnership:
“I have seen first-hand the power and innovation that can be released when organisations, communities and individuals can develop respectful and mutually challenging partnerships.
I am excited to be involved with an organisation that puts partnership at the centre of all it does and can’t wait to put my energy and enthusiasm into supporting Corra Foundation to play its role in helping build a better Scotland.”
Corra Foundation also looks forward to warmly welcoming Sophie Flemig as a Trustee in 2019. Until she takes up her role Sophie will observe a number of board meetings.

4. New Trustee biographies
Elaine McKean became a trustee with Corra Foundation in October 2018.
She is currently Managing Director of Indigo (PR) Ltd and a former member of the Scottish Children’s Panel System and a former member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in Scotland, championing quality standards in the industry.
Elaine has worked across Government, Healthcare and commercial PR in Scotland to enhance client profiles, while managing their reputations.
With a career spanning 30 years, Elaine has delivered successful campaigns utilising media relations, media training, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, crisis management, social media, marketing, event planning and evaluation.
Judith Turbyne joined Corra Foundation as a Trustee in October 2018. Judith has spent most of her professional life working in the charity sector, primarily in international development charities. For much of that time she worked in Latin America and the Caribbean with Christian Aid, ultimately managing at regional level. During her time working in international development she lived in Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica and Dublin. She returned to Scotland to take up her current job as the Head of Engagement with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), a job which she loves. Judith has studied in Edinburgh and Bath, culminating in a PhD which looked at empowerment in development.
