Two local charities in Dundee have secured £16,460 between them in the latest round of awards from Corra Foundation.
St Andrew’s Family Support Project works with parents who are under the age of 21 and have pre-school age children. Their award of £9,460 will help pay the salary of the Parent Support Worker. This is their fourth award since 2008, bringing the total support to £29,775.
The Hot Chocolate Trust works with vulnerable young people and has been awarded £7,000 to help pay the salary of the Finance and Admin Officer. This is also their fourth award from the Foundation, and brings the total support to just over £45,000 since 2005.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “These charities both work hard to improve the lives of young people in Dundee, and that also has a positive impact on the lives of their families and the communities where they live. We know that having basic costs such as salaries covered means that the charities we support can get on with putting their efforts into delivering their much needed services.”
