Two local charities have secured funding in the latest round of awards from Corra Foundation. A total of £4,515 will be split between the two groups.
The Hush Hush Holiday Group is based in Paisley and has received £515 to help pay for a holiday next year for adults with mental health issues, while Active Communities (Scotland) Ltd which is based in Hillington has received £4,000 to help pay the charity’s of the group’s manager.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “It is small local charities like these that make a huge difference tot eh day to day lives of people in communities across Scotland. We’re delighted to be able to fund this work in Renfrewshire, and know that the benefits it will bring will far outweigh the actual monetary value of our awards.”
This funding is part of the Foundation’s latest awards to charities across Scotland which saw 37 charities share a total of over £154,000.
