Falkirk charity the Quiet Waters Charitable Trust has secured £4,500 in funding. The money is coming from Corra Foundation and is part of almost £200,000 of funding that has been awarded this month to 48 charities for work across Scotland.

The Quiet Waters Charitable Trust offers a range of counselling and support services and training courses to people living in Central Scotland. The award of £4,500 will help pay for the costs of their accommodation including rent.

Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “This award will all help improve the lives of people living in Falkirk and the surrounding areas. The Quiet Waters Charitable Trust has had nine other awards from us in the past, and it is great to be able to continue to support its work. We’re interested in hearing from other charities in the area that are working to make life better for people who are disadvantaged, and the next closing date for applications is 15th July.”
