Forty five charities across Scotland have secured a festive funding boost of almost £200,000 between them in the latest round of awards from Corra Foundation.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “These charities all work hard to improve the lives of people in our local communities. They provide a much needed service all year, and we hope that our funding will give them a boost at what can be a particularly busy time of year. Our funding helps local charities cover basic costs like paying staff and covering costs including rent and volunteers’ expenses, all of which are vital for charities to be able to operate.”
The awards range from £1,730 to £7,000 and are supporting work including two Citizens’ Advice Bureaus, a wheelchair curling club and a wide variety of work with young people.
