The Avenue Childcare Services, a local charity based in Onthank in Kilmarnock, has secured £4,200 in the latest awards from Corra Foundation.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “We are delighted to be funding this work which helps make life better for local families. The right support at the right time can make all the difference, including providing respite in times of need and a listening ear and signposting on a daily basis, or a bit of extra support when parents are returning to work.”
The charity works with families offering services including a drop-in for parents, a home-based sitter service and a nursery. The funding will be used to help pay the salary of the service manager.
