Funding success for Moray charity

Moray Fresh Start, a local charity based in Elgin, has secured £2,500 in the latest awards from Corra Foundation.

Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “We are delighted to be funding this work which helps make life better for local people who have been homeless and are moving into permanent accommodation. The right support at the right time can make all the difference, and for people setting up home from scratch being given a pack containing basic items like bedding and cutlery really does help them enormously. Like many charities, the work of Moray Fresh Start is only possible through the work of volunteers who give up their own time to make life better for others.”

This funding is part of £154,000 recently awarded by the Foundation to charities across Scotland. It will be used to help pay the running costs of Moray Fresh Start, and is the group’s second award from the Foundation in two years.
