Funding success for Stirling charity

Stirling Carers Centre has secured £5,200 of funding in the latest round of awards from Corra Foundation. The money will be used to help pay the rent of the Carers Centre.

Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “Stirling Carers Centre provides a support for carers of all ages, ranging from information and advice to events. This makes a huge difference to local carers as it is often difficult for them to get involved in the sort of activities many of us take for granted and so it is easy for them to become isolated. Carers work incredibly hard yet this often goes unnoticed, so having Stirling Carers centre to champion their rights is very important. We’re delighted to have been able to support this work, and know that having basic costs such as rent covered mean people can get on with putting their efforts into delivering their much needed services.”

This is the Foundation’s tenth award to Stirling Carers Centre since 1998, bringing the total support to just over £88,000.
