The Foundation has always aimed to ensure all groups, however big or small, are given the right information and support so that accessing our funding is as straightforward as possible. That’s why in addition to offering advice over the phone we run our advice sessions, where you can come along for a face-to-face chat with one of our advisors.

Our funding advice sessions have been running for over 20 years, with many groups telling us how they have benefited from advice and guidance about our criteria, top tips on applying and potential knowledge about other grant-makers. Funders in Scotland work closely together and are happy that programme information is shared at these sessions with potential groups.

Recently, working in partnership with The Robertson Trust, we have expanded the opportunities available to charities looking for information and guidance on our funding programmes by hosting joint funding advice sessions.  You could say it’s just like a Buy One Get One Free, as you get the chance to have two individual meetings with two funders within the same location.

Funding Fairs are a valuable source of support, and this partnership shows a positive development and demonstrates how funders want to work together to offer complementary and additional support to the voluntary sector.  This dedicated time gives groups a real chance to spend adequate time with both of us so you can ask any questions you may have about each of our funding criteria.

The joint funding advice sessions are currently running in Glasgow and Edinburgh.  The next one is scheduled for the 12th September at the Foundation office in Edinburgh.

If you are interested in attending or would like more information contact us on 0131 444 4020 or email us at hello@corra.scot.
