Clackmannanshire charity Play Alloa has secured £4,000 in funding. The money is coming from Corra Foundation and is part of almost £200,000 of funding that has been awarded this month to 48 charities for work across Scotland.
Play Alloa provides play and social opportunities for children and young people with special needs from Clackmannanshire through clubs, youth groups and play schemes. The award of £4,000 will be used to help pay the running costs of the weekly group for young adults with disabilities and additional support needs.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “This award will all help improve the lives of people living in . Play Alloa has had four other awards from us in the past, and it is great to be able to continue to support their work. We’re interested in hearing from other charities in the area that are working to make life better for people who are disadvantaged, and the next closing date for applications is 15th July.”
