Over £1.3million of new funding announced for 25 projects across Scotland.  The successful organisations included charities, Alcohol and Drug Partnerships and Health Boards.

The funding, administered by Corra Foundation, is from the Scottish Government’s Substance Misuse Challenge Fund. The fund intends to provide a space to re-think the system (or parts of the system), test change and implement new ways of working.  It aims to encourage breaking down of barriers for people accessing services for support with their alcohol and/or drug use, and to make sure they can receive the right support at the right time.

A panel of individuals with experience in this area, reviewed the applications. When considering these applications, people with lived experience of recovery were an important part of the panel .  The fund received 54 applications  and 25 were successful.
