Stirling charity the Bannockburn Group of Riding for the Disabled Association has secured £5,000 in funding. The money is coming from Corra Foundation and is part of almost £200,000 of funding that has been awarded this month to 48 charities for work across Scotland.
Bannockburn Group of Riding for the Disabled Association is one of two Riding for the Disabled groups to receive funding. The award of £5,000 will help pay for the costs of caring for the horses including, feed, bedding and vets fees.
Mary Craig OBE, Chief Executive of Corra Foundation, said: “This award will all help improve the lives of people living in Stirling. The Bannockburn Group of Riding for the Disabled Association has had five other awards from us in the past, and it is great to be able to continue to support its work. We’re interested in hearing from other charities in the area that are working to make life better for people who are disadvantaged, and the next closing date for applications is 15th July.”
