National Drugs Mission Funds Report 2023-2024

£13m National Drugs Mission Funds support over 33,000 people affected by drugs in 2023-24.

Today sees publication of the National Drugs Mission Funds Impact Report 2023-24. The funds support crucial work by organisations to prevent drug deaths and improve lives. Today’s report shows the value of this work, with 33,613 people supported through 218 projects across the country.

Health Secretary Neil Gray said:

‘The National Drugs Mission Funds support vital work to ensure strong, compassionate, and resilient frontline services. These funds have backed more than 300 third-sector and grassroots projects, many playing a key role in approaches that put lived experience at their heart as we tackle stigma and support the rights of people in recovery.

“This Corra report shows how these projects have continued to develop and grown over the last year. I have seen the positive impact such projects have had on the lives of people with drug and alcohol problems, their families, and their local communities.

“I’m very pleased to see the progress made in our National Mission helping to reduce drug deaths and improve lives, though, despite our significant achievements, there is much still to do. My thanks go to Corra staff and volunteers at every organisation, who are helping to support more than 33,000 people.’
