Appetite for Change develops large-scale, whole-place approaches to building community participation and cohesion. Corra works collaboratively with communities and other partners to develop projects that are tailored for specific towns, cities and Local Authority areas.

Every One Every Day Kirkcaldy

Every One Every Day is here to connect people, spaces and resources, so that Every One in their community can take part in Every Day projects and activities.

Kirkcaldy (Fife) is pioneering this approach to building community participation, cohesion and infrastructure – with open learning helping to support its application in other places.

How does the approach work?

Every One Every Day encourages and supports people to get more involved in their communities. It began in Barking and Dagenham, pioneered by Participatory City Foundation. Corra are now developing the approach for Scottish places. The idea is to build the infrastructure – the spaces, resources and support – in a local area to enable people to try whatever they’re passionate about, in ways that make sense to their lives. It’s free, open to everyone, and designed to make it easy to get involved at whatever level, and whatever way suits you best.

Whether you decide to get involved in bringing a green space to life, or get involved in projects for cooking, making, sharing, learning or playing, these things will all add up to make everyday life better for everyone, simply by doing more things you might do every day with your friends and neighbours, instead of alone.
