Henry Duncan Grants 2026 opens to applications

£500,000 in 5-year, unrestricted grants to support people experiencing mental ill health in very remote rural Scotland.
This year Corra Foundation’s Henry Duncan Grants will fund community-based support for people experiencing mental ill health in very remote rural areas. This reflects the range of issues people face, including waiting times and geographical distance from services, lack of reliable internet to access digital support and barriers created by stigma.
Corra Foundation Chief Executive Carolyn Sawers said:
“Living in the most remote rural areas of Scotland can bring extra pressures on mental health and make it harder for people to access support. Small charities play a vital role by responding in ways that are accessible, inclusive and overcome stigma. We believe they should be supported with trust and time which is why our Henry Duncan Grants offer longer-term, unrestricted funding.”
Corra expects to make grants totalling around £500,000, shared across approximately 10 organisations. The fund will be open to Scottish charities and Community Interest Companies with an annual income of less than £500,000.
Demand is likely to be high and so applications will be through a 2-stage process, with the first stage being as light-touch as possible for groups.
