Alcohol and Drugs Fund – Local Support Grants
The Local Support Grants are funds available through the Scottish Government’s Alcohol and Drugs Fund, administered by the Corra Foundation. This fund is intended to support the implementation of the Scottish Government’s and COSLA’s Alcohol and Drugs Strategic Plan-Preventing Harm, Promoting Recovery: Scotland’s Alcohol & Drugs Strategic Plan 2026 – 2035.
Local Support Grants are for community-based Third Sector organisations in Scotland, which deliver frontline services to support people affected by alcohol and drugs, people who are in recovery and/or their families.
Local Support Grants are open to Scottish charities, social enterprises, community groups and other Third Sector organisations, with an annual income of up to £750,000. Organisations can apply for up to £60,000 per year, for work up to April 2029.
This fund is intended to help organisations to stabilise or increase capacity, continue services and provide further reach into the community. It aims to facilitate rights-based, relational support for people so that they can easily access the right support at the right time.
Funding rounds will be conducted on a rolling basis. Applications for projects delivering work up to April 2029 are welcomed.
Decision-making panels will meet in July, September, and November 2026 and every two months thereafter.
We expect applicants to be notified of decisions within two months of applying.
To apply, please use the link to complete the Eligibility Checker. If you are eligible for this fund, you will be given instruction for arranging an initial chat with one of our grant advisors. At this point, applications that do not meet the basic eligibility criteria will be unsuccessful and not progress further.
Next, your application is reviewed by a panel made up of people with Lived Experience relevant to this fund. They decide the outcome of the application.
All decisions are presented to the Scottish Government.
You receive the outcome of your application.
If successful, a start-up meeting is arranged.

We provide written feedback to all applicants and are happy to discuss this further with you once you’ve received your result.
What are the reporting requirements for successful applicants?
If successful, we will ask you to complete an Evaluation Planning Grid detailing your outcomes and timeline for the project.
We will ask you for an initial report 3 months after the project has commenced. Thereafter we’ll ask you to report annually and at the end of the project.
