Racial Justice Fund
The Racial Justice Fund was for organisations whose work fit with the theme of racial justice.
The Racial Justice Fund provided grants of between £7,500 to £20,000 to registered charities, SCIOs, and other registered not-for-profit organisations with a yearly income of up to £275,000 working toward racial justice and equity.
There was £200,000 available to distribute and 12 grants were made. This fund was invitation only.
Invited groups were mainly led by those with lived experience of the issues they address. These organisations work on a variety of concerns and employ diverse approaches. However, they each employ at least one of these approaches:
- increase voice and visibility of racialised communities or;
- advocate for change or;
- actively work to bring communities together or;
- support their own communities to address issues that make it difficult to thrive.
The Racial Justice Fund was delivered by Corra Foundation and is a partnership between Corra Foundation and Comic Relief.

Decision making process
Grants were made through an invitation-only route following the process below:
Across Corra, staff nominated organisations whose work fit with the fund theme.
Due diligence was carried out on to develop a short list of organisations that fit the fund criteria.
Each short-listed organisation’s work was further reviewed by Corra staff.
A final invite list was developed to ensure a spread of organisations according to income, governance and communities represented.
Why were some applications unsuccessful?
There were no unsuccessful applications as this was an invitation-only fund.
What are the reporting requirements if my application is successful?
Grant holders will be asked to report on their grant in October 2025. This will be a straightforward process to tell us about how the money was spent and how this helped their work and the communities they support.
