Today sees publication of the National Drugs Mission Funds Impact Report 2024-25. These funds support organisations working across Scotland to reduce drug related harm. This year, £13 million has been distributed in grant payments supporting over 51,000 people through 225 projects across the country.

The National Drugs Mission Funds provide grants of up to five years to organisations working directly with people who are affected by drug use. This funding underpins delivery of key Scottish Government commitments, including the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standards, Whole Family Approaches, and the Charter of Rights for People Affected by Substance Use.

The report highlights how important long-term, multi-year funding is in ensuring the security and continuity of vital services across Scotland. The work delivered by the funded organisations is integral to the shared National Mission of prevention of drug-related deaths and harm.

Carolyn Sawers, Corra’s Chief Executive said:

“Corra is honoured to work in partnership with organisations that are making a meaningful difference to the lives of people affected by drug use in Scotland. This report recognises the vital work of these projects, the committed efforts to reduce drug harm and the challenges encountered in addressing the issue. It makes clear the importance of access to multi-year funding to provide security for organisations to sustain their work.”
