The latest round of the Corra Racial Equity Fund opens today.

The Corra Racial Equity Fund provides unrestricted, multi-year grants of up to £50,000 to organisations that are led by, and working with, people from Black and racially minoritised backgrounds. It is part of Corra’s commitment to supporting groups that have historically been under-resourced, in turn limiting their voice and power.

Corra Chief Executive, Carolyn Sawers, said:

“Supporting racial equity and racial justice is fundamental to Corra’s ten-year strategy and the Corra Racial Equity Fund is a vital part of putting that commitment into action.  We want to direct support to organisations led by and working with Black and racially minoritised communities, recognising the vital work they do and the barriers they have historically faced in accessing funding.

”The knowledge and expertise of people with lived experience are invaluable in helping to ensure that the funding reaches the organisations where it can make the biggest difference.”

We expect to make up to ten grants totalling around £500,000 in this round of funding. The Corra Racial Equity Fund is open to charities and registered not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of £250,000 or less in each of the last three financial years. Applicants must have at least one set of full annual accounts that can be reviewed as part of the assessment.
