About Castlehill
We began working alongside the community in Castlehill in November 2016, and has involved:
Connections
Delivering engagement activities with local schools exploring how children feel about their community.
New activities
Supporting a group of local parents to form a community events group and deliver community activities. Introduced a Family Walking Group and run several other activities.
Partnership working
Working with Foodshare to deliver cooking on a budget sessions for local community.
Physical space
Supporting community-led environmental improvements and the development of community activities.

Annual Update 2023 Snapshot
- System Changers – We have started a programme bringing together local partners and community members to learn about systems thinking, support change and build connections.
- Community Room – Developing a space that supports small groups to come together and advance ideas, while building capacity and growing their groups.
- Women’s Group – The group has grown from strength to strength; securing funding for wellbeing activities and family days. They have been successful in receiving funding and have worked with
a range of partners. - Dumbarton West Action Group – The group has continued to consult with the community, supporting the development of a community plan.
