Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is about power. In grant making this includes the power to decide where money goes, who is trusted with it, how it is distributed and for what. In our ten-year strategy we made a commitment to embedding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion throughout our work. We published our first DEI Statement in October 2021, setting out initial actions we planned to take to do this. Since then, we’ve reviewed our progress and published our first DEI Report 2021-2023.

It’s important that Corra knows who we are reaching but also who we aren’t reaching. To do this, we’ve introduced a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Monitoring Form that all grant applicants to Corra are asked to complete after sending in their application.

In the video above, you can hear directly from Elaine who shares a little more about what the form is, how we’ll use the information, and importantly – what this means for you when you apply for a grant at Corra. For you as an applicant, the DEI Form is only a very small part of the process – you don’t have to complete it and it has no impact on your application as the information is kept separately.

If you want to know more or have any questions – watch the video , read the transcript, or drop our Learning and Development team a message at learning@corra.scot.
